Air-Fryer Drumsticks
These simple air-fryer drumsticks are sweet and savory with a subtly smoky flavor from smoked paprika. Lime zest adds bright flavor. These drumsticks pair well with just about anything, from a simple green salad to roasted sweet potatoes.
Ingredients:
- 4 chicken drumsticks (about 1 1/2 lbs. total)
- 1 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon smoked paprika
- 1 teaspoon grated lime zest
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon onion powder
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon ground pepper
Directions:
- Pat chicken dry with paper towels. Transfer to a medium bowl. Drizzle the chicken evenly with oil and toss to coat. Add brown sugar and toss to coat. Combine paprika, lime zest, garlic powder, onion powder, salt and pepper in a small bowl. Sprinkle evenly over the chicken; toss to coat. Let stand at room temperature for 10 minutes.
- Meanwhile, preheat air fryer to 375℉ for about 5 minutes. Lightly coat the air-fryer basket with cooking spray.
- Arrange the chicken, skin-side down, in a single layer in the basket; cook for 10 minutes. Flip and cook until the skin is crispy and a thermometer inserted into the thickest portion registers 165℉, 10 to 15 minutes.
