Air Fryer Korean Chicken Wings
These air fryer Korean chicken wings are very crispy and flavorful. They are a big hit in my home.
Ingredients:
- 1 lb. or 500 gm. chicken wings
- ¼ tsp. salt
- ¼ tsp. pepper
- 1.5 tbsp. gochujang paste
- 1 tbsp. soy sauce
- 2 tbsp. brown sugar
- 1 tsp. sesame oil
- 1 tsp. garlic paste or minced
- 1 tbsp. apple cider vinegar or rice vinegar
- 1 tsp. sesame seeds optional
- 1 tbsp. chopped chives optional
Directions:
- Take chicken wings and dry them well using paper towels.
- When they are really dry, they crisp up well.
- Season them with some pepper and salt.
- Preheat the air fryer to 350F or 175C for 5 minutes .
- Arrange the wings in a single layer in the air fryer basket making sure that they don’t overlap.
- Air fry at 350F or 175C for about 20-25 minutes till the skin is crispy and they are cooked.
- Flip them midway for even cooking.
- Add Gochujang paste to soy sauce. Add brown sugar, sesame oil, minced garlic, and apple cider vinegar.
- Mix well till smooth. Add ½ tsp. Pepper and mix again.
- Once wings are done, transfer them to a bowl.
- Toss them with the prepared Gochujang sauce to coat evenly.
- Pop them back into the air fryer for about 4 minutes at 350F or 175C for a nice sticky sauce.
- You can also just toss in sauce and serve.
- Your Korean Chicken wings are ready to serve. Enjoy.
- You can garnish with sesame seeds and chopped chives.
- Preheat oven to 400F or 200C.
- Line a baking tray with parchment paper and spread out the wings seasoned with salt and pepper.
- Bake for about 30-40 minutes, flipping them midway, till they are golden and crispy.
