Chocolate Banana Protein Smoothie
Red lentils give this smoothie a plant-based protein boost. To make this smoothie vegan, try using unsweetened coconut beverage or almond milk in place of the dairy milk.
Ingredients:
- 1 banana, frozen
- ½ cup cooked red lentils
- ½ cup nonfat milk
- 2 teaspoons unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon pure maple syrup
Directions:
- Combine banana, lentils, milk, cocoa and syrup in a blender. Puree until smooth.
