Grilled Red Snapper
This simple grilled red snapper recipe has clean flavors and a nice char from the grill. It's well-seasoned but not overly spicy. Serve with grilled veggies or a green salad to make it a meal.
Ingredients:
- 1 tablespoon smoked paprika
- 1 teaspoon ground pepper
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 4 (5 ounce) boneless, skinless red snapper fillets
- 1 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil
- 8 lemon wedges
Directions:
- Preheat grill to medium-high (400°F-450°F). Combine 1 tablespoon paprika, 1 teaspoon pepper, 1 teaspoon onion powder, 1 teaspoon garlic powder, 1 teaspoon oregano, 1 teaspoon thyme, 1/2 teaspoon salt and 1/2 teaspoon cayenne in a small bowl. Brush 4 (5-ounce) fish fillets all over with 1 tablespoon oil; sprinkle the seasoning evenly over both sides of fish, pressing to adhere.
- Oil the grill grates. Grill the fish, covered, until it flakes easily and a thermometer inserted in the thickest part registers 145°F, 3 to 5 minutes per side. Serve with 8 lemon wedges.
