Half Pie Quiche
Add your favorite fillings to this basic quiche recipe! Double it up for a full-sized version.
Ingredients:
- half of 1 prepared pie crust
- 2 eggs
- ½ cup (125 ml) half and half
- ¼ tsp (1 ml) each salt and pepper
- 2 oz (60 g) cheese, grated (½ cup/125 ml) cheddar, white cheddar, gruyere, or pepper jack, plus additional for topping
- ½ cup (125 ml) add-ins – blanched broccoli, diced ham, cooked bacon or sausage, peppers and onions, spinach, etc.
Directions:
- Preheat the oven to 350° F (174° c).
- Place the pie crust in the Half Pie Pan and crimp the edges, as desired.
- Whisk together the eggs, half and half, salt, and pepper in a mixing bowl. Stir in the cheese and add-ins. Pour the egg mixture over the dough. Sprinkle with additional cheese, if you’d like.
- Bake for 35 minutes, or until a knife inserted in the center comes out clean. Cool for 5–10 minutes before serving.
