Rice so Nice
A simple, creamy rice dish with subtle seasoning and mild vegetables. Great as a base for entrees or served alone as a gentle, comforting side.
Ingredients:
- 1 cup long grain white rice 1/2 cup butter
- 1 (10.5 ounce) can beef broth
- 1 (10.5 ounce) can condensed french onion soup
- 1 (4 ounce) can sliced mushrooms
Directions:
- Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
- Put the rice in a medium oven-proof bowl. Pour in the beef broth and French onion soup. Empty the can of mushrooms into the bowl, and place the stick of butter in without stirring. Cover the bowl with foil, a lid or oven-proof plate.
- Bake for 1 hour in the preheated oven. Remove the bowl from the oven and stir. Let stand for a few minutes before serving.

Chicken
This one-pan dinner gets a hit of flavorful heat from harissa, the popular North African chile-and-garlic paste. We use harissa paste from a tube for this recipe. It's got a concentrated chile flavor that makes an excellent spice rub for chicken and adds a subtle punch of heat to a refreshing herbed yogurt sauce.
