Ingredients:
- ½ small avocado
- ½ teaspoon lemon juice
- ⅛ teaspoon kosher salt
- ⅛ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- 1 slice whole-grain bread, toasted
- ½ teaspoon extra-virgin olive oil
- ¼ teaspoon flaky sea salt, such as maldon, or crushed red pepper for garnish (optional)
Directions:
- Combine ½ avocado, ½ teaspoon lemon juice, ⅛ teaspoon salt and pepper to taste in a small bowl. Gently mash with the back of a fork.
- Top 1 slice toasted bread with mashed avocado mixture. Drizzle with ½ teaspoon olive oil and sprinkle with Maldon sea salt and/or crushed red pepper, if desired.
