Veggie Burger with Gruyere and Mushrooms
A sophisticated vegetarian patty topped with melty Gruyere and sautéed mushrooms. Deep, nutty flavors perfect for gourmet plant-based eating.
Ingredients:
- 1 morningstar farms® grillers® prime veggie burgers
- 1 slice gruyere cheese or swiss cheese
- 1/2 teaspoon vegetable oil
- 1/2 cup sliced fresh mushrooms 1 thin slice red onion, separated into rings
- 1 lettuce leaf
- 1 thin slice tomato
- 1 whole grain hamburger bun, split and toasted
Directions:
- Cook Morningstar Farms® Grillers Prime® Veggie Burger according to package directions. Immediately top with cheese. Let stand about 1 minute or until cheese melts.
- Meanwhile, in small nonstick skillet heat oil. Add mushrooms and onion. Cook, stirring frequently, over medium heat for 3 to 5 minutes or until tender.
- Place lettuce leaf, tomato and veggie burger on bun bottom. Top with mushroom mixture and bun top.

Serve immediately or remove to a towel-lined baking sheet and cover with a towel. Hold in a warm place for 20 to 30 minutes.
